Brian Boughner

Brian began his investment career in 1999 right at the very top of the biggest stock bull market. During his career, he has helped his clients successfully manage their investments through the 9/11 terrorist attack, 2 equity bear markets, a housing bust, a credit implosion, and the COVID Pandemic. He has built his career on the foundation that how well you manage your investment returns during the market downturns will ultimately determine your long-term performance. As a co-founder of Parallel, Brian enjoys communicating and helping clients understand the very complex and dynamic changes that affect our economy and markets daily. Brian is a Florida State University graduate, a CFA charterholder, and a Chartered Market Technician. Brian is married to Jeanne Boughner and they have a 21-year-old daughter, Selah and 10-year-old son, Noah. They attend The Village Church in Greenville and are very active in the community. Brian’s involvement includes: Leadership Greenville, board trustee of the South Carolina Children’s Theatre and Project Host. Jeanne is an IT project manager for DPR Construction and serves on the board of East Link Academy, a charter school. Brian enjoys the outdoors and regularly bikes, runs, and backpacks the mountain trails here in the southeast. He is also very passionate about the upstate art scene and has performed in productions at many of the local theaters.
Greg Towner

Greg Towner

Since 1999, Greg has been passionately building investment portfolios used by clients to achieve their financial goals. Prior to Parallel he was co-manager of approximately $1 billion while at Sterling Capital Management. He also excelled as a Portfolio Manager at the Private Bank of Bank of America where he managed both client accounts and institutional model portfolios. Earlier in his career, Greg was a founding member of the Trading Analytics team while working for Charles Schwab Co.  He is the author of the book Investment Lessons of 2020: How an Unprecedented Year Taught Us Everything About Investing.   As the Chief Investment Officer at Parallel, Greg’s investment process emphasizes a rules-based approach with a focus on high-quality assets, risk management and blending both fundamental and technical analysis. He is an advocate for the behavioral aspect of investing and believes a sound investment process should include steps that try to reduce investor emotional decisions. Greg holds his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor's degree from the University of Mount Union. In addition, he holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician.  Greg and his wife Faith live in Raleigh, NC. Faith is an aerial circus instructor and performs all over the east coast. When he takes a break from studying the market, Greg can often be found riding his bicycle on the local greenway trails or walking in the park with Faith.

Susan Harvell

Susan started her financial service career in 1997 after graduating from Wofford College with a BA in Finance. After college, she took her first job working in Columbia, SC in banking and worked through the management training program.  She worked in banking for 9 years before making a change to insurance and investments. As the Chief Compliance Officer at Fiduciary Alliance, she is committed to protecting clients and upholding the highest fiduciary standards. Susan ensures that the firm operates in full alignment with regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong culture of ethics and transparency. Susan lives Greenville, SC with her husband, Stan and her son, Andrew. They love taking advantage of being close to the heart of the city by enjoying the festivals, markets and quaint restaurants that Greenville has to offer.  She is an active member of the Gridley Club and Colonel Elias Earle Historic District Association. On the weekends, you can find Susan and her family enjoying the outdoors. They are often biking the Swamp Rabbit Trail or hiking in one of the fantastic state parks near Greenville.

Gina Rose Salamin

Gina is a CFA Charterholder, has an MBA, and an undergraduate degree in International Business. She started her finance career working in New York City and was part of the equity derivatives team at RBC Dominion Securities. She left to pursue her MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales. After the MBA, Gina moved to Switzerland and continued her career working for Lloyds TSB and Saad Financial Services in Geneva Switzerland. After living and working abroad for many years, Gina was excited to have the opportunity to move back to the United States. After they returned to the states, Gina decided to take some time off to be with her family. Gina’s family was based in Greenville for five years before moving to France for her husband’s job for a couple of years. Gina taught math for three years before joining Parallel Financial in 2022 as a trader / analyst. Gina and her husband Olivier have two boys and are happy to call Greenville their home. Olivier is the Chief of Staff and Head of Corporate Strategy for Michelin North America. They are members of Christ Church Episcopal Church and enjoy attending shows at the Peace Center. Gina enjoys traveling, running, and biking on the Swamp Rabbit Trail as well as watching her sons play sports and volunteering with their Boy Scout Troop.

Now, as an integral part of Parallel Financial's behind-the-scenes team, Sara finds fulfillment in leveraging her keen analytical skills to contribute to the company's success. Her penchant for detail and dedication to excellence make her a valuable asset in ensuring seamless operations. Residing in Flower Mound, TX, alongside her husband of 25+ years, Sara shares her home with her son and their beloved golden retriever. With a family history marked by adventure and relocation, having moved 8 times due to her husband's career, Sara has cultivated a deep appreciation for diversity and new experiences, having explored various corners of the country. In her leisure moments, Sara finds solace in the rhythm of her feet pounding the pavement, indulging in the company of her furry companion during leisurely strolls, and whipping up delicious creations in the kitchen. For almost 15 years Candace assisted companies in improving productivity and efficiency among their employees. Working with members of the Fortune 500 and helping them strategically align their employees' safety metrics and performance truly resonated with her. She was taught to have an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age and that our economy is built on the small business owners in this country. Transitioning into the financial arena was a natural evolution for her. No one can put a price on being able to sleep at night. Making a difference is what truly drives her to help clients grow and plan for beautiful and fruitful lives. Candace is volunteer to help those in need by bringing yoga into facilities as a Certified Yoga Instructor. She also holds board positions on a two different not for profit organizations and has been instrumental in creating a community gardening project. When she's not gardening or trying to save the world, Candace can be found doing yoga, cycling, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Outside of work, Carey is a self-taught guitarist who especially loves to modify and hot-rod guitars, along with dialing in amps using pedals and effects, always chasing the perfect tone. More than anything, he loves hanging out with his family and making memories together, always looking for new ways to make every moment count.

Nancy joined Parallel in February of 2018 as a Client Service Manager. Prior, she spent 15 years with BB&T as a Wealth Client Specialist. She also worked as an Executive Recruiter with Management Recruiters International for 10 years placing accounting and financial personnel primarily for manufacturing firms located in the southeast. She truly enjoys working with clients and is the poster child of being a people person. Her role at Parallel involves making sure our clients have a wonderful experience when they call and visit our office. She also attended the University of South Carolina and is originally from Pennsylvania. Nancy loves cooking and spending time with family and friends. She has a son (William) and her cat’s name is Murphy. She also actively volunteers at the nursing home where her mother resides.

He attended Clemson University and graduated cum laude with degrees in Biological Sciences and Spanish. He received his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law.After graduating from law school, Jordan joined an independent investment adviser in South Carolina as General Counsel, where he worked for 4 years. He then transitioned to a financial advisor role at one of the “big box” firms. Jordan joined Parallel Financial as a financial advisor in 2020. Jordan and his wife have been married for 15 years, and they have 5 children. His wife is a dentist in Simpsonville. Peyton's passion for finance began early in college at Clemson University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He was a member of the Clemson co-ed cheerleading squad where he was co-captain his senior year. This gave him a lot of discipline and vision for how he wanted to lead and serve after college. After graduating in 2016, Peyton pursued a career in financial services at Ameriprise Financial. His desire to serve his clients individual needs led him to join Parallel Financial in 2019 where he can bring a proactive approach for his clients and friends' financial goals. Peyton's primary focus is using a financial plan to drive his conversation and advice for his clients, allowing them the freedom to dream big. He primarily works with medical professionals, business owners, and retirees where he focuses on the individual client's needs. Peyton, by nature, is creative, and his ideas and approach, as well as being focused on connections, enable him to bring the best solutions to his clients' tables. Partnering with CPA firms, payroll companies, and other professional services allows him to build benefits packages for his business owner clients. With a large portion of his family being in the medical field, he has put a large focus on medical professionals. Peyton met his wife, Lynsey, at Clemson University while on the Co-ed Cheerleading squad. They have been married since June of 2017. Lynsey is a registered nurse. They have two children, Whiley and Wilkes, with a third due in September 2024. They enjoy their local church, Hope Point, where they lead a small group together. Peyton also enjoys turkey hunting, golf, and working on project cars with his father. However, no hobby is more important than spending as much time as possible with his wife and kids.

After time at Edward Jones and Bison Wealth, he joined Parallel Financial in 2025, drawn to its shared commitment to empowering clients. An adventurer at heart, Dean thrives on challenges—whether it’s CrossFit, fly fishing in Brevard’s rivers, or hiking the Camino trail. He’s deeply involved in his community as a past president of the Brevard Chamber of Commerce, founding board member of the Friends of the Ecusta Trail, and a board member for SAFE and the Pisgah Health Foundation. Dean’s greatest pride is his family: three accomplished sons—a doctor, business owner, and Delta Airlines captain—and six wonderful grandchildren. Matthew Myrick joined the Stewardship Investments team as a wealth management professional in February of 2018, becoming a partner of the company in 2023. He previously served as Financial Aid Director in Christian higher education for nearly four years. His background includes communications consulting, business development, teaching business classes as an adjunct professor, and E-commerce marketing. Matt believes in biblical stewardship and feels that Psalm 24:1 perfectly illustrates how believers should understand their money: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” (NIV). It is the foundation from which he helps his clients achieve their goals. Matt’s greatest desire for a client of Stewardship Investments is to see them reach their goals by coming alongside them with the heart of a teacher and friend. With nine years of experience in client services, Tabitha helps ensure that the team’s day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. Tabitha also collaborates with our compliance department to help ensure that we are meeting industry guidelines and regulations. After seven years in Business Management, she is making the transition to personal financial advising to follow her passion and what she feels called to do. Gracie and her husband Preston live in Bemidji, Minnesota, where they spend time volunteering in the church and community.
